L.A. Premiere — New Media Film Festival

Sapient_2.021 made its Los Angeles premiere at the 14th New Media Film Festival, June 7–8, 2023, screening alongside 106 films and new media works from 22 countries. The film took home the festival's Best STEAM award, credited to directors Amenda Tate and Bruce James Bales.

The festival honors storytelling that pushes into new technology and new forms, a natural home for a film made with a dancing, painting robot.
